There have been many posts about compliments we have received on our Vette's, so here's what happend to me a couple of weeks ago:
About 06:00 AM I stopped off at a local mini market to grab a cup of coffee for my 35 mile commute. As I walked out back to the parking lot, a guy approached me and commented on what a nice car I had. He asked if it was an 08, and I said no, it was an 05 with 60k on the clock. He said Damn! it looks brand new! We chatted a bit more about horse power, Obama, McCain and the worlds problems
Coming home that evening going up Crenshaw in Los Angeles, on my way to the 10, a Los Angeles Police Officer pulls up next to me while I'm sitting at the light at King Blvd. I tilt my head down an look through the passengers window and see a big thumbs up and a smile from him. I roll down the window and I tell him thanks! He said it was a beautiful car and asked what year it was... I said it was an 05' daily driver with 60k on the clock. He looked again from front to rear and said "beautiful, she's fast?" I said "oh yeah" with a big smile.. the light changed, he gave a grin, waved and said "be safe"

When one of my friends first saw my C6, he muttered some seemingly-obligatory not-quite-a-compliment, and then said that his dream car was a CROSSFIRE!!!
We also get our bad moments too though like the little jealous "playa" people who like to give us dirty looks for no reason cause they are driving some 4-door Stratus.

Sheesh... I need better friends...
Maybe he meant an older vette with cross-fire injection. Maybe GM should sue Chrysler for stealing that name.
One evening I pulled into my garage and as I was walking out a town police car pulled across the end of my driveway. (Was thinking OH NO.....) but.....He rolled down his window and said he would let me drive his, if he if he could drive mine. We talked about vettes for 10 or 15 minuets and he said....don't worry, he never stops vettes and off he went.
