hello: i am new to this forum and though i don't own a corvette i thought i might try this forum for some head picking re my 2006 sts v6.
as i recall the dic display on the c6 is similiar to the dic in my caddy. i would like to know if there are extra messages or additional information available at the dic by pressing a sequence of buttons to access the "hidden" info. at this point it's only an assumption that there is any additional info at the dic. i'm basing my assumption on my 90 caddy seville that had a dic and had all kinds of data that could be brought up through the dic. i tried this query at the caddy board that i hang out at, but to no avail.
Yes, most engine information can be accessed via the DIC. In adition, the DIC is used to program things about the car like autolocking, seat positioning, etc..

The Corvette C5 from 1997 to 2004 had the available diagnostic mode so that with a holding the options button and four presses of the fuel button you could bring up the stored codes in a diagnostic trouble mode.
The practice was abandoned in the C6. There are no know sequence of buttons that will bring up any additional information other than what is available under normal use for fuel, speed, mileage and options.
