Vettes aren't cheap down there eh, I'm a Kiwi living in the States now, one of the first things I did was buy a Vette (05), much cheaper. Does your potential new vette have to be converted to right hand drive?
I remember before I left NZ, 05 Vettes were going for NZ$160,000, post r/h drive conversion.
All the best with your purchase.
yea there not cheap at all mate, haha but down here they are an exotic, 90% of people wouls not even know what a corvette is shame to say.
How about a nice 05 with 550 rwhp.............. for a hell of a lot less money ? For that kind of money, I'd drive it to Australia.
i can do that, right?
haha sorry mate the car needs to be imported 100% stock
just to give everyone an idea of where the price comes from
Car $x
duty, like 10% i think
import/insurnace
gst, another 10% of total
lct, thats the killer
and after all that it is $49,000 to get it converted to RHD
You can get 550 rwhp with the APS Twin Turbo system that is made right there in your home country.
Welcome aboard. To bad the Aussie accent does not come across in print.

i have been looking at this kit actualy, seems that aps make some great products.. would love to hear some reviews from owners with this kit.
catch heck? no way the fpv's are great cars, although the fpv f6 typhoon is much faster then the gt's and have a much better aftermarket available, and the clubsport is a great car aswell, uses your corvette's ls3. but they are heavy 4 door cars that are seen on every corner, i am still yet to see a c6 in australia, **** i have only every seen 2-3 c5's getting around. there still going for 80k here.. lol
Nice avatar, I had 94 and 97 SE TT Supra. I can see why your in the market for a C6.
Your country is understands what the LS motors are capable of...You guys have VERY nice looking Holden HSVs and VXs...(I had an 06 GTO which is the American version)
IMO a Maggie is the way to go. Can start small then add extra bits later on to increase the horsepower. Reasonable price too. But then again, I was born in Darwin, so what do I know besides the value of a Darwin Stubby? :-)
I got 517 on the flywheel by using
Corsa Sport Exhaust
K&N air intake
Diablo Sport Predator tune ( which is a must get with the auto tranny )
hope it helps
and Welcome
