hey guys, how is everyone? i have just joined the forum and looking forward to hear everone's advice.
Im from australia and im looking into buying an 07 c6 auto in the next few months.
i was just wondering if anyone could let me know of some good websites for aftermarket parts. i would love to bring it up to around
500-550hp at the crank to start with, not sure how much this would cost as i will be on a pretty tight budget after paying 120+k on the car. but would this best be achieved through a head/cam combo, or straight to a s/charger?
Plenty of vendors right here for aftermarket parts. Once you get your Corvette, find a local motorsports shop near you. Get your ideas here at CF, then have your shop get it done for you.
Plenty of good info archived in past posts so don't forget the Search utility at the top.
Vettes aren't cheap down there eh, I'm a Kiwi living in the States now, one of the first things I did was buy a Vette (05), much cheaper. Does your potential new vette have to be converted to right hand drive?
I remember before I left NZ, 05 Vettes were going for NZ$160,000, post r/h drive conversion.
Welcome to the forum. Great people, great info, great sense of humor. Keep an eye on the C6 tech & performance section of the forum and as mentioned search through some of the forum supporting vendors.
BTW...that 120k is Australian dollars right? Isn't that also $97,778 U.S. dollars? That's still a truckload of cash for a used Vette. Other than a ZR-1 you couldn't spend that much for a even a loaded new Z06 here in the states?
You can get 550 rwhp with the APS Twin Turbo system that is made right there in your home country.
Welcome aboard. To bad the Aussie accent does not come across in print.
There used to be an Australian Corvette forum hosted from Brisbane, but I don't think it exists any longer. You might still do a search on the web, though.
There are quite a few vendors who support this forum and provide what you're looking for. However, you'll want to be careful that whoever you choose can export to Oz.
