A while back there was a thread with pics on installing the GM guards. I tried the search function but to no avail and FAQ doesn't have the thread. Anyone keep a link on same? Gene just sent me mine and I want to install this week and wanted to review the thread as it was well done and informative.

Thanks!
Why don't you just read the enclosed instructions?
The helpful hints are to use a brand new bit of the correct size and to fully seat the "surrounds" of your push pins (using the blunt, handle end of a screwdriver) before pushing the pins themselves in place.
thanks! this is the one I was looking for as it shows some pictures that I wanted to review. instructions with the guards are okay but I am more a visual person and the tread helps. appreciate the post!
Just installed mine yesterday. After installing the left side, I found it easier and more precise to drill the holes, after affixing the guard to the fender. This is opposite what the instructions recommend. Regardless, they worked great.
I did mine a couple weeks ago and the only problem I had was the bottom push pin on the rear. There is no backing to the interfender well and when I would push the pin in the fender well would just move away to the rear and I could not get the pin in far enough to clamp tight, I removed some screws on the bottom of the fender well and worked my hand up inside to hold the fender well in place as I pushed the pin and it finally took. May have been that my hole was not exactly stright not sure but got it done. Other wise it was pretty easy, remove the rear wheels makes it a lot easier.
