Default bird strikes!

Hi, all
I got my car sometime in June. Since then I’ve had 5 birds fly into my victory red vette. In my 42 years of driving I can’t recall ever having a bird fly into my car let alone 5! And no I don’t have a bowl of fruit on the dashboard. This is my first vette and my first red car. Does anybody find this strange?

When you think about the red liquid that is put in hummingbird feeders, it may not be as strange as you think.

Very strange. I hit a goose as it was gliding in for a landing to a retention pond. Busted the windshield in a big way.

Very very weird. Birds can see color so it can't be that. The only other reason could be if your car is really shiney maybe they see their reflection and they think it's another bird. I've had them fly into my glass sliding doors because of that.

I clipped a Blue Heron on my motorcycle doing 50+ MPH a couple of years back. Fortunately, for both myself and the Heron it was a glancing blow. I ended up with a blue dust imprint of a Blue Heron wing that ran across the chest and left arm of my riding jacket.

Needless to say, we both "sharted" a little.

Put one of those deer whistles on your car. Birds can hear right?

My Victory Red '08 has not had this problem. I would doubt that it's the color, but one never knows. The question is...what have you done to the bird population?

Just came back from a trip that started in N.E. to D.C. to St. Louis area then returned north. I had some near misses but no impacts. I have a LMB coupe.
What did surprize me was the high number of dead critters on the shoulders. 10 deer, maybe 40 assorted furry things in 8 days.
Do you look like the guy in "Birds" by any chance.

Birds get used to average traffic speed in their area. No chance your speed was significantly above the average, is there??
