Hey all-
I'm making this post to stir up some interest in a roll bar system for a
C6 vert. I'm having a heck of a time finding anyone/shop that does this. Come-on I can't be the only C6 vert out here that is looking to do this......HELP ME
It has to be streetable as well solid for the track!!!!
Looking at putting a roll bar in my 2008 C6 Vert after it is out of warranty. Below is information out of another forum that I am seriously considering as it does not require cutting into the waterfall and is minimally intrusive as far as installation. Unfortunately the link that shows rollbars made by Pfadt does not show a version for the C6 convertible.
After Months of trying to find a Roll Bar with no luck, the guys at HighLand Daytona Racing made me one.
I am not sure If its ok to post their site but here it is. They are near Allentown PA right off airport road on Rt 22

Serious, I need to come to Houston sometime in January and run. I have been waiting on cooler weather and I want to be closer to sea level like the Jersey folks. Let me know where and when, hopefully week night like wednesday night at the SA raceway. Maybe get a bunch of vettes from the local area to show up. Let me know, Paul.
I suggest you call Doug Rippie Motorsports. My friend has a C6 coupe highly modified by DRM (including roll cage). DRM is a very capable shop and they do excellent work. I don't know what they can do for a vert but it might be worth a call to find out. Good luck.
They will be fine a most tracks. The tech guys would have to bring out all their toys to check metal thickness, how strong etc. all kinds of test. Unless your going to get in the 9's your pretty safe.
The information I posted above was from MikeBotz that he has also posted in other threads on CF. When he had it made two years ago it was built to meet NCCC, SCCA and NHRA specs at that time. Still looks to be the best alternative for me when my warranty expires in 23 months I really like that they will paint it to match your vehicle if you choose to do so and that it is bolt in for easy removal if you choose to do so.
HDRCoupe's website does seem to be down at this time for some reason. It had worked a few months back when I got the original information.
