Default Going Crazy

I’m going crazy! My Corvette (cyber gray, QX1, Z51, Auto) was build Nov. 5th and was sent out for deliver sometime between 15th and 17th. I still have yet to see it! Of course the dealer can’t tell me jack about where it might be or how long it be before it comes. Is this true?

The reason I’m freaking out right now, is Saturday (tomorrow) my buddy fly’s from in Phoenix to take my current vehicle (he’s buying it) back to AZ. So if you can see why I might be going a little crazy; after Saturday I have no car.

If memory serves me right, I placed my order sometime on or before Oct. 2nd. Which I thought would be plenty of time for me to receive the Corvette; guess I was wrong.

I’m just going crazy, so I thought I would post here to vent a little. If anyone has advice, please chime in.

All you can do is be patient. I would ask the dealer for a loaner till it comes in. My dealer supplied me with a loaner for over a month. Congrats on your purchase.

Your dealer could call Allied Transportation and find out when your Vette is expected to arrive at the dealership if your salesman is motivated enough to do it for you.

The dealer can get an estimated delivery date right from Allied. Also, Allied is supposed to notify the dealer 24 hours before they get there so someone can inspect the car and accept the delivery.

Allied can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to get a Corvette delivered. It depends on how quickly they can fill a carrier headed in your direction. My 2005 took three full weeks to get here, but my 2009 took only one week.

Call Allied directly, all you need is the last 6 digits of your vin, they will tell you exactly when it will be there, that's what I did.
