Check all your local tire stores. They will often have 1 off tires that are in good shape where someone has simply upgraded. That or craigslist.
Best of luck on the new one!

I might be able to help you out as I just bought a set of used tires from a guy who works at a local Porsche dealership and I know he's at least got a set for the front still available in the proper size. I know they're Pirellis with about 60-70% treadlife left, but I'm not sure which exact brand.
I'm not sure if he has any tires to fit the rear but if he does, they'll be Michelin Pilot Sports in the 305/30/19 size which is what I went with. That's about the largest tire that will fit on the rear but they look perfectly fine on my car.
Let me know if you're interested and I can give the guy a call for you.
Your best bet is the Forum's "Parts For Sale." Monitor it daily. I see new takeoffs all the time on there. I bought a complete set of wheels and takeoffs from there about a year ago and the deal was less than half the price of the tires alone.

I have heard the tires on Z51 package don't last is this normal? How many miles did you have on them? Drive the car hard or track it?
I have tires that came on F-55 and have close to 28,000 miles now and still alot more to go.
You might try Kumho tires for the lowest price.
Sorry to hear about your hard times. I have a set of Michelin Pilot Sports in OEM sizes I was going to put up for sale. The fronts have about 8/32 tread (80%) and the rears have about 6/32 (60%). One rear one does have a patch in it, professionally done. In the spirit of the holidays would you be interested in them for $200 plus shipping? If so, PM me.

There's an offer for you robl45, you should check this out.
Let's see, on one hand you have a 50K two seat sports car. On the other hand you have a family and a newborn. Hmmmmmm, priorities, prioities, well it seems to me me that you will have to go with your true love, THE CAR!!!
yea I saw those, still with shipping, mounting and such, still over 800 bucks.
If you can get a full set of decent tires for a C6 for $800, you are doing very well pricewise. I mean, come on, what did you expect tires like ours were going to run?

You aren't working, so you don't need tires to drive to work.
Instead of searching for cheap tires, you should plan of being a stay at home dad, and search for jobs for the wife.
Check the "For Sale" section. You might be able to P/U a fairly new set of take-offs that some member is looking to get rid of in favor of another size or brand.
This is your way out!!
Autox c6 - you're the man! Way to Go! and Merry Christmas to All
