New Audio setup!!!
In my opinion the kit you and I have helps reduce outside road noise and insulate the interior from outside heat but it is certainly not what I would call interior sound deadening. To sound deaden the interior you need to use a ruberized product like Dynamat or eDead. The foil backed open foam constrution of the insualting material does very little sound deadening of the interior. In my opinion for the ultimate in sound deadening and insulation you'd need Dynamat below and the kit you have on top.
Adding Dynamat or eDead would add about 50 lbs to the car and would be fairly expensive and time consuming to install. I did a full eDead install in my 2002 Z28 and it took nearly 40 hours with 2 people working on it.
