Has anyone gone the BBB route without a lawyer?
For those who have not used a lawyer was it difficult to win the case?
I'm working on my presentation and want to make sure I hit all of the highlights and make the proper points. I go in two weeks and I've been compiling data getting ready for this.
In Florida the Lemon Law program is operated through the BBB. I Lemon Lawed a 1996 Camero with great success. If you intend to try and return a car through the Lemon law process you need to follow the instructions in the pamphlet supplied with you warranty book and owner's manual.
I started the process by setting up a complaint with the GM Hot Line, an 800 number in your warranty manual.

A year ago I had a major argument with GM regarding my C5 (I posted the VERY long story/updates/resolution on the forum in 2007).
Anyway, when I attempted to drag the BBB into it they pretty much blew me off. I finally found a sympathetic ear in the Engineering Group of GM and got my issue resolved to my satisfaction.
BBB is as useless as being a natural born citizen to become President is anymore...
long story short BBB got all my money back from a lemon 04F150..
I called them,
They send me a few things to fill out and send back
I sent back all my proof and my testimony
I than meet with a BBB arbit. and a Ford rep 1 month later ..
I ended up winning..
All monthly payments plus down ...I had a check of 21k from Ford in my hands 6 weeks after my initial call.
If you feel like you have a strong case go with them , they seemed pretty fair...good luck
BBB is only an organization self proclaimed to syphon $$$ from those who want the BBB to say that the organization is a good and reliable one. If you don't pay to be a part of the BBB then they will not say anything good about you only that you are not qualified to be a member. I look at the BBB as legalized "heavys". Pay up and you're protected. Don't pay and they'll "hit ya". I know. I was threatened by one in a former business about 15 years ago. Get an attorney and leave the BBB a$$holes alone.
