Default Help ! Transmission problem

I started the car this morning, with the engine running I can't shift into any gear. The car has around 7000 miles on it, so I don't think it's a clutch issue. Check the clutch reservior and it's right above MIN level.(that's where GM suggested in the manual) No sign of any leak under the car. I drove the car last week for a short time and it was fine. Planing to have it tow to dealership, but if there is something simple I overlooked, any advice will be appreciated.

How cold is the car?

I assume it is Neutral?

Start the car and let the clutch out. Push the clutch back in. Can you put it into a gear now?

I started the car and it's warm up. Try to put into reverse to back up and will not go into gear. Then I try all the gears and still no luck. Feel like something block the gate.

One way to eliminate the clutch is by shifting it into gear with the engine not running.
You may also try putting it in gear and then starting it with the clutch in, but be careful.
Try lifting/pushing down the shifter and then shifting it into gear. Also try rocking the car slightly and then trying to put it into gear.
Have someone else depress the clutch pedal repeadedly while you look to see if the slave cylinder is actuating the release arm.
Best of luck.

I can shift when the engine is off, but when the engine is running, it will not go into any gear.

Sounds like the clutch may not be releasing. With the engine off, put it in gear and push in the clutch and have someone try and push the car. If it won't move, then the clutch is not releasing and you probably have a problem with the slave cylinder.

Let the dealer sort it out. With that many miles, let them do the work.
