Looks awesome! Nice install and I really like the ZR1 spoiler.
I really liked the blue ghost flame pad you used too, goes great with that color!

The pad is a Fender Grabber brand fender cover. I got it at a Goodguys car show. I keep it in the trunk and use it to protect the top of the rear fascia when loading and unloading the trunk.

The template was based on a particular CF member's installation. It was really close, but there are always little variations. Maybe I cut it differently, or mounted it differently, or maybe the studs were mounted a little off from the way his were. Or a combination of these. But the template got it close enough--some of the 'cross-hairs' were right on-- and the crayon fine-tuned it.

Better? Because I 'found the strength' to drill holes in my baby? Not better...maybe less wise...or just more of a risk-taker. What the heck...I can always replace the facia!

This time, I made an effort to not think about it. After I marked the fascia with the awl and peeled away the template, it started to register when I saw the marks, but I slapped on the masking tape and grabbed the drill before I could get nervous! After it was all drilled and the spoiler covered the holes, it was fine.
I bought the GM full length spoiler and when it came time to install it, to DRILL HOLES in my new Vette, I thought, NO WAY!!!, returned it and bought the Z06 spoiler instead. Looks great though.

Nice job and it looks great. I was just kidding because I imagine the first hole must have been a tough one.

Paul I agree with GC here. The ZR1 spoiler on a C6 Vert looks great. You did a awesome job of installing it. Thanks for the write up and the pics. I have been on the fence about doing this but looking at your vert with that spoiler. It helped me make up my mind. Now I just need to get the funds up and I guess send in my DSOM gas door to RPI to have them match up the paint....

Glad you liked it and that I could be of service! Sorry it had to cost you money, tho'!
Here's another pic to lock it in:

Post pics of yours when installed.

You are brave man. I would have been scared sh#*tless to drill all those holes in my Vette. That's why I'm ordering a Z06 spoiler for my coupe.

Excellent write up and great job on the install.

Car looks fantastic.
