Hi all, here is some eye candy for you. I just picked up my car from the body shop where it got the Full widebody upgrade using all GM parts including the front wheel liners and a full PPG repaint top to bottom.
Some of you may have spoken to me and knew that the car got hit by a teen while I was stopped on the freeway in traffic. It looked pretty bad and I was bummed. Front, back and passenger side was pretty much trashed, but its all a distant memory now. I'd say the car is actually nicer than when I first bought it.
Multi coats of PPG clear wetsanded and buffed out to a smooth finish!
Custom blended PPG Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic base coat. Awesome.
The color is a perfect match for the color that the car used to be, except we added a little extra titanium flake and played with the additives so the flop is a little more pronounced. Very bright in the sun, and darker at night and shifts a lot more when looking at it from angles as compared to the original DSOM paint.
Badges? No holes here. Smooth as can be..... Had the holes filled in.
Painted the XM wart body color!
Thanks for looking !
Ben

Tinted Windows, Amber rear side markers (to make them blend in with the orange of the car better)
DSVette's shift boot, ebrake boot and center console cover.
Body colored door handles:
I also ditched the chicklets. I have also added a GM Racing spoiler, but I don't have any pics of that.

Thanks for posting guys. Sunset Orange Creations, your car is nothing short of beautiful. Thanks for the ideas. Any special requirements for painting the wart?
