Does anyone know for sure what the most current version is? I've seen a lot of different numbers thrown out.

I wondered if there was a version 5.1 or 5.2 or something like that.

If you were to order it thru gmnavdisc.com the part number would be 25976806 for the latest version. They do not go by 5.0, 5.1, ect.

If you go to the GM NavDisc web site https://www.gmnavdisc.com/overview.do
you will find the correct part number for your car. My 2009 came with an already expired Version 4.0 p/n 25852830. The update, Version 5.0 p/n 25976806 is currently on backorder. I placed an order for this update, but only God knows when I will get it.

Apparently not on backorder. I ordered mine December 26 and received it four days later on December 30. It is version 5.0

Just checked the status of my order from September and it was shipped yesterday. Only took 4 months if I get it via UPS next week.

All I can say is that the web site states "backorder" and the GM NavDisc personnel will tell you over the phone that it is on backorder. I can't tell you how many times I have checked on this ----- yesterday was the last time I spoke to the NavDisc center. They convinced me to order it, as I did, and they stated I would receive it as soon as it becomes available. Being that some of you already received it, I'm hoping I get mine soon. I'm glad someone has received it ---- there's hope then. We've been waiting forever.

There are two ways that the navigation map DVD is typically referred to on the forum. The first is by version number and the second is by part number. Both are correct as the version and part number are both printed on the face of the DVD. To order via a dealership or from the GMNavdisc center a part number would be used.

2005 version 1.0 p/n 10381886 one dvd
2006 version
2007 version 3.0 p/n 15932106 one dvd
2008 version 4.0 p/n 25852830 two dvd's
2009 version 5.0 p/n 25976806 two dvd's

On the right hand side of each of the two discs, just under the DVD logo, it will say what version it is...the latest is 5.0

I recieved the v4.0 with my early 09 and my dealer got me the v5.0 version. I can't say what all the changes are, but when I drive through the newest addition to my neighborhood( six years old) the v5.0 shows the streets, where the v4.0 showed me driving through a cow pasture.

I have a 2008 vette, so my guess is that I have the v4.0 version. It states that I get 2 free upgrades. Do they just send it or do I still have to order? Thanks.

You might get a card in the mail from GM. You can also just go to

www.gmnavdisc.com or call 877-NAV-DISC 877-628-3472 and give them your VIN.
