I have a non-NPP 2008 coupe with manual transmission. I might have an opportunity to purchase an NPP muffler from a 2007 C6 with an automatic transmission (don't know if it is a coupe or vert). It is actually a Z06 NPP, adapted with 2.5 inch inlet tubes.
Will the NPP muffler from the automatic car bolt up to my car with a manual transmission? Are there any other issues with retrofitting my car with this NPP?
Thank you; I deeply appreciate the helpfulness and collective wisdom of this forum.
If they were adapted correctly they will fit. GM only makes one set of NPP that fit auto and 6spd. Here is the process our company did on Craigster05's car. Once you get the mufflers in we have "NPP in a Box". It's the only other part you need for the install. It includes the Mild2Wild wireless controller and all the other parts need to operate them with vacuum.

In my case, throw in a set of LG headers, and you have rolling thunder at the flick of a switch. The combo of the headers and the NPP in Wild gives you AMAZING sound and “HEY, LOOK AT ME!!!” volume…the tonality and sound is that of a NASCAR stock car at WOT outside the car, yet quieter and less drone inside the car than the GHL exhaust I was so fond of. The install is very straight forward, easier with a lift, but as Ed has shown with his car, you can do it on jack stands. Here are some pics and descriptions of the step by step process; you will receive complete illustrated instructions with your purchase.
NPP Mufflers waiting for Install
Factory Exhaust Removed
Drilling a ¼” hole in the rear well
Run the Vacuum Tube though the hole
Run the Vacuum tubes through existing frame locations
After dropping the rear sway bar, snake the NPP mufflers up and over
Attach the pipes to the mufflers
Connect the vacuum hoses to the NPP mufflers
Make sure your muffler pipes are straight and level
Muffler hardware done and vacuum tubing run
Connect power cable to the Seat Heater Fuse
And of course, a quick run with Ed's Polishing kit
Nakidparts = NPP in a box
That's all there is to it.....All that's left is to go out there and have a blast with your new found customized sound.

Do a search. You'll find thread after thread after thread about this.
I myself just bought a set of Z06 mufflers for my '07. I plan on doing the mod described at the link below before I install them (I'm also buying one of those NPP in a box systems from NakidParts too)

No sure what you want to confrim, we have done 5 installs localy (and have about 15 other customers that installed adapted Z06 mufflers also) of local adapted Z06 mufflers (3 on autos and 2 on 6spd). It's going to be up to how the person adapted the mufflers and how they welded them, your taking a chance.

I just did the last week with an Auto (A6) which is basically the same. Very simple installation for me.
I recommend removing the H Pipe and move the sway bar out of the way...I did alot of research of some not having to do this but believe it makes the job very easy. Remove the std mufflers from Vette.
We just cut the 2 1/2 pipes off the std mufflers right before the can and had them welded on the ZO6 mufflers. The ZO6 muffler pipe actually narrows down to 2 1/2 right before the can so the weld is very simple if cut correctly. Reinstall and install NPP in a box.
I have not installed the NPP in a box since I'm 95% confident I'm going to modify the ZO6 muffler internals to be louder.
Search is your friend but I would go to youtube and search bbexhaust ZO6 removal...the video is great
