Default Clear corners added

I've been toying with changing my corner markers and from amber to clear.
I replaced the bulbs with amber leds and while at it changed the front blinkers from the standard bulb to the mirrored ones (you don't see the amber color until they are on).

Thanks to the helpful posts in the forums related to side marker removal and turn bulb replacement it took about an hour from start to finish.

Here are the before and after pictures. I'll let you guys judge, but i like the look.

Here are the standard ambers Off with a flash:

and here are the new clears Off with a flash:

Here are the standard ambers On in the dark:

and finally the new clears On in the dark:

Everything was under $150 shipped. Both the "Chrome" turn signal bulbs and the LED marker bulbs came from ebay, and the clear sides came from a vendor who (I don't think) sponsors here on the forum.

Here's a hint tho: if you google "c6 clear marker" they are 2nd from the top.

Anything other than those OEM orange corner marker lenses. That was the first thing I noticed that needed to change when I bought my vette. Geeeze are they ugly, even more so one beautiful red, blue, yellow, etc colored vettes.

Clear is a nice way to go. I chose to black them all out.

Assembly quality is identical to the original ones. In fact they seem identical other than a few very small markings / numbers on the backside.

You can find the install instructions on the "unnamed" vendor's website. Look in the lefthand column for the install instructions link, follow it and scroll to the bottom.

They have good pictures but the bottom line is both the Original and replacements are held in place by two large plastic clips/prongs.

It definitely explains why some folks have felt their markers are loose . Mine were actually pretty darn tight, but no big deal to get out.

Looks great!

This was the first mod I did to my car. It took me about 30 mins tops and I was taking my time.

I did a search for 'clear side marker' using our search function to find the vendor

Default Google Search didn't work

I did the search and the second listing was for Hot Wheels toys. What vendor did you use?
