I have a 2007 C6 Coupe with an odd problem. Yesterday I noticed that the CHMSL (Third Brake Light) stays On. I also noticed that when I open the rear hatch and push the button/switch at the rear of the vehicle, the CHMSL goes off momentarily and when the hatch opens comes back On. It is staying On whether I apply the brakes or not. The lower brake lights are functioning normally. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I've tried searching the forum but don't see any related posts. They all discuss the light staying off. Thanks.

Sounds like a problem with the plug to the center tail light. You can access the light by removing the inside stop lights, then removing the four nuts holding the rear spoiler down, then gently pull the spoiler up and carefully pull the plug through the hole.
You can then check the plug for problems/corrosion.
