IMHO comp grey wheels, NPP, and Z51 are three of the best choices you can make when selecting or ordering a C6. No other options have created more negative comments from people who settled for a C6 without them (or who don't even own a C6). No other options have created more positive response from those who opted to equip their Corvettes with them.

Well that's a good thing. Only car I ever had much of a problem with brake dust was my '88 IROC-Z.
I always liked the chrome look myself, but this used 06 I'm looking at has the comp gray rims. I figured since they were called "Competition" they may be lighter, guess it's just a $400 paint job. Just looking for slight things that would give me the edge over a LS3... not gonna happen
Any time you chrome plate a wheel, it will be heavier. A front C6 comp grey wheel weighs in at 21 lbs. I'm not sure what the chrome weighs but it will weigh in more. The same size chrome wheel on my Impala SS weighed in at 26 lbs, or 5lbs more than the polished wheels I replaced them with.
I've been told that the comp grey wheels make people look at my car first instead of the wheels and the wheels overall make the car look lower.
Bingo! I hate cleaning my rims every week, so it's easier to hide em with the comp grey color. Plus I'm not fan of chrome, it's just too much for my tastes though most people prefer chrome. At night/low light times of day the car looks lower as the wheels look more black (after 2 weeks of brake dust so any shine is negated).
It's all looks, but I like the fact that they don't stand out as much as the standard or polished wheels. Visually I think they help lower to profile of the car.

I really like the comp grey.... had them on my 05 too... several reasons... easy maintenance vs chrome, they can be dirty and ya don know it.... they are a versatile wheel.... and they make the car look agressive to me... JMO....
I would never go back to chrome I dont think... too hard to keep clean....
The comp grey is just plain racy looking. It is not for those who prefer the bling and people either really like them or really don't. I love the wheels, especially because they don't show dust and dirt. They also match the see through tops, but look good on the vettes with solid painted roofs as well. Just my too cents!!!!!!!!
