My C6 got robbed~
My C6 got robbed on Saturday morning.I came out of office at 12:00 pm and right after I got out of elevator at parking lot, my co worker says "Hey your cars window....." So when I took a look, I thought he was telling me I forgot to pull up the windows and left but NO~~ My windows were broke~~There was big mess inside the car...The parking lot worker was asking me "Is it your car? There were robbery in the parking lot in this morning." I was the one of the victim of two out of 50+ cars, great~The other victim was 08 MB C300. The funny thing was this MF took my Ipod touch and sunglasses, PLUS my new low profile floor jack it was in my trunk(that thing is pretty heavy). I bought it for painting my calipers last week but I didnt have enough time so I only finished one of them and I was gonna get it finished on this Saturday but he stole it so I still have one AO painted caiper. I got too busy taking care of mess before I drive it home so forgot to taking pictures. How could a thief think of robbing cars this early at busy parking lot????They would've pay for parking and broke windows and put the stuff in the cars and left right away?Don't get it~~~Never leave any valuables in your car~ My brothers co worker got robbed this week also and he left 10K in the car, it was gone~~

Back in 1987, my 1986 IROC-Z was stolen from the office parking lot between 7:30am - 8:30am. As my co-workers arrived in the office they were kidding me about not seeing my car in the lot and thought I was out of the office. I went to the parking lot and sure enough my ride was gone. Very odd and empty feeling as I recall. After my anger subsided a little, I was concerned my house could become a target. The registration and license info was in the glove box with the garage door opener. I called home and told my wife what happened and had her unplug the garage door opener and not to answer the door until I got home later that day. When I contacted the police to file a report, they also offered to make extra patrols in my neighborhood for a few days.
The police found the car at 2:00am the following morning --- all four wheels & tires were taken, along with the radio. Some dents/dings in the body where the jack handle hit. No broken glass and they left the T-tops for some reason. Car was put back together good as new - dents/dings taken care of, new rims, tires, radio, plastic panels for the dash/console and steering column.
On the day the theft happened, the only humorous thing I think of was the hoodlums could not have gone very far without putting in some gas - the tank was almost empty and I had planned to fill the car when I went for lunch that day.

Thankfully they didnt take my rims having all the tools in the trunk, I should order Gorilla locks soon as possible before worst things happen next time.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
One of my co-workers parked his car and as he was going up the steps, he decided to go back and get something out of his car and walked up on the person breaking into his car. … It was the parking attendant. … go figure?
I'm for gun control ... as long as I'm the one in control of the firearm!!

Your auto insurance would likely repair the 'vandalism' damage without it adversely affecting your rating...with full glass coverage replacing the windows shouldn't cost anything. Considering the minor cost of the personal property stolen, I would be hesitant to file a claim on my homeowner's policy. Even a minor claim will have a negative impact on your insurability.
Good luck!
I hope they find the %^&#$ who did this to your vette!!! I had a 77 trans am that was robbed. I went to leave and found the stereo was stolen. Police wrote the report and I turned it into my insurance. Insurance paid for the stereo. A short while later while my family was out of town somebody smashed the drivers window. One of my neighbors gave me a hint of who it was and the neighbor called the police. A state trooper who is a friend eventually busted a 15 year old in a Honda motorcycle dealership and this led them to more info and people. They busted a small ring of thieves. They had ripped off quite a few people.Den
As the unemployment rate goes up so will stories like this one. It's best to never leave anything that can be seen in any car. I agree not to contact the home owners insurance for such a small loss.
