FWIW I strongly suggest you do NOT "just leave em' in." There have been several accounts of jacking pucks (left on the car) causing severe body damage when they dragged or snagged on something like a speed-bump.
They're designed for a specific purpose. Don't be lazy, put them in when needed and remove them promptly when you're done using them.
I use the rectangular BMW jacking pucks. To make them easier to remove, I drilled slightly into the center pins and then screwed-in small brass screws leaving the heads sticking-out a bit. The screw heads are much easier to crasp (and pull) with pliers or a Leatherman tool. After pulling the center pins down I use a flathead screwdriver to pry the pucks off the car.
IMO never leave the jacking pucks mounted permanently on your car...you're asking for trouble.
They really don't stick out that much...u can't see them from a side view.I wouldn't be worried about them hitting anything.I've been using them for years with no problems.
I bought mine last summer for $6.95 each. Now that they realize they fit a C6 the price doubled.
I then bought the square ones because the round ones didn't seat on my jack stands very well. The square ones do. So now I have 2 sets. The square ones don't snap in for a permenant fit but I use them in my jack & jack stands.
Buy these round or square or take the hockey puck recommendation. I didn't do the hockey puck thing because I was concerned that as the rubber aged it might get brittle and break under the weight of the car. Maybe not true but that's how I feel.

Same here. I took them a few weeks ago when I was getting new wheels mounted. The shop normally used rubber blocks. The owner was very interested in my "custom" pucks and wanted to know where he could get some for his shop since he says he is doing more Corvettes all the time.
It seems the guy who was selling them on the-auction-site-that-shall-not-be-mentioned-but-buys-ads-here doesn't seem to be selling recently. They are easy to make. A search finds many threads and, to confirm the other answers, the Z06 pucks have a very slightly longer stem. They will fit any C5-C6 while the coupe version only fits the coupe/vert if they are designed to a tight tolerance on the stem length.

Same here, hard rubber hockey pucks with eye bolts installed in them. Just slip them in and make a 1/4 turn and they stay. I paid $ 23 for four of them shipped to my doorstep.
