Pretty neat. It actually looks a lot like a C6 with a much lower hood and roof line. With that in mind, this concept car looks like it would have serious visibility issues, the front fenders are effectively "too tall", you would barely be able to see over them... and they cannot be lowered. So, the production version of this would likely have a higher hood and roof line... and then it will basically just be another C6... fine with me.
This concept car is quite sharp looking though... I'm glad they are trying to retain the classic Corvette lines as opposed to making something that is completely unrelated.
EDIT: I just looked at a few more pics... there is a huge bump in the center of the hood, yet another visibility issue, not good... and I'm not a big fan of the rear tail-light treatment... it's cool, but I'd still like to see "classic" Corvette "round" tail lights, but not shrouded and hidden like on the concept car... the front-end could use a little trimming too, not sure if I dig the big scoops at either side of the front grill, however, they may provide excellent brake cooling, if so, they're ok with me... functionality comes first.
You have to be up very early to post this kind of thing and not be the next to do so. I think there are some styling cues here that may just find their way. I had a split window and it was a pain to see out of, but so was a 67 without the split. And the split looked(s) way cool. We shall see. Maybe Corvette will be owned by a private equity firm by C7 time.
"It just seemed weird, considering GM's level of involvement in Transformers, for them not to have a Corvette in the movie. Now, here it is. It's not the next Corvette, but it is what we wish the next Corvette would look like — it's the Stingray Corvette Concept, and it'll play the character of Sideswipe. Frankly, it was gorgeous when we first saw it at GM's design center and it's even more gorgeous now.
We'll have more on the rest of the Autobots revealed here in Chicago shortly, but we kinda figured you'd want to see this silver gleaming slab of beautiful first.
I know it's not "real", but what was the designer thinking when he spec'd those side mirrors?? Or are those really angle-of-attack sensors? This baby better have cameras all around. And FLIR.
With the obligatory split rear window I'm thinking that gull-wing doors would be a must. And with the chopped roofline the seats would probably have to recline like an F-16.

I think you've probably thought about this more than they have

I have been hoping they would bring the split window back in 2013 for an aniversary car, 1 year only, just like the 63. I would definately be in line to buy one.

The front is a bit iffy though...looks to much like a Japanese car, IMO.
Very cool concept 'Vette though! I am sure there will be one auctioned off at a Barrett-Jackson event a few years down the road. They do auctions of movie/concept cars from time to time.
