OTOH, that A6 Leopard is something isn't it?
Hard to believe that it makes such a difference.

I've just spent some time hunting google for weighted shift *****, and the referrendum is that yes, really heavy ***** help with the smoothness of shifting, but looks-wise, they to be awkward, ugly chunks of metal. I think Quicksilver's Leopard is one of the few that looks decent and is the one I would get.
Among the non-weighted ones, I think prefer MGW's race **** - it's understaded yet it does have some style to it.
It looks like MGW updated their shifter a couple of weeks ago to reduce the rattle, so that's less of a concern now.
I feel bad not supporting a forum vendor, but I think what I will do is get the Leopard, and if I find myself regretting it, sell it and order the MGW race ****. Compared to the cost of the car it's very little for a bit of experimentation.

This is the same style **** used in the Callaway Supercharged C6 Corvettes.

One other **** you might consider.
I am a **** junkie and was about to pull the trigger on this one.
The MOMO Tomahawk Alcantra.
I don't know what it weighs, but its a nice looking **** and fits the interior of the car, especially if you have the '08 style console with the chrome trim.
The MOMO Tomahawk
Or the MOMO Combat Evo

One drawback though is the MOMO ***** tend to stick up a bit higher than your stock height.
