My buddy just bought a 9500 sq ft.house here in Las Vegas and he has this view of the valley from just about everywhere on his property....of course, the Corvette went home with me. The view at night is amazing.
The guy who owns the house with the great view is actually a Corvette fan as well. He has '03 coupe but he traded his '05 C6 Vert for an Audi S6...go figure. Right now he's restoring a '65 Mustang (he's doing all the work himself) and he has a new Camaro SS on order.
I'm not into desert scenery but the Vette looks great.
There are deserts and there are deserts. It's a different type of environment to appreciate (and maybe not for everyone) but some deserts are beautiful having an almost mystical or spiritual quality.
Thanks for the compliments on the car. I almost always change to after market wheels on most of my rides, but this is first time I've had the factory chrome rims, and they look so damn good....it's making it hard for me to give them up.

That's not desert scenery, it's a dump site.
Nobody comes to the desert to look at sand and scrub brush. If there wasn't grass and palm trees and flowers and lakes all over the place, it wouldn't be as popular.
Most find the desert to be really beautiful, particularly after they get their lawn and pool in.
