Not a bad choice at all, the wife has a 300C(on my dime lol). It's the AWD version so I love when it snows. I do have to agree with a few others though, Chrysler needs to put at least one of these pigs on a damn diet. It's like their goal is to see how many 4000+ lb cars they can have. It feels heavy going from my 3750 lb goat to the 300C I can only imagine what you felt going from the Z to the RT.
And good point 5thgeneration; I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to anything American with a V8 in it. I would hvae fallen on the floor if the OP had stated he had picked himself up one of those new Civics, lol.
Good luck with your new car. Nothing wrong with the new Dodge Challenger - it isn't a Corvette, but you know that. Stop back once in a while and let us know how you like it.
Good luck and congrats. Very cool car. I hate them, personally. But I hate them is a "no matter what I do to my Camaro I can't seem to beat that sob with the 68 Hemi Challenger" kinda way. Same way I hate Mustangs, especially 1969 Mach I's with a built up 351 Cleveland. Have fun
I I had enough money and a big enough garage I would definitely put a Challenger and a Shelby Mustang in it in addition to my Vette. The new Camaro has not grown on me yet, but the other 3 cars I like a lot.
Enjoy the new ride. I think the Challenger is a great throwback looking muscle car and is a breath of fresh air to all the stupid tear-drop shaped econo boxes out there. Nice to see something with style by a human hand instead of a computer designed wind deflector.
I traded my MY Z06 Vette for a fully loaded Metallic Silver Challenger RT.
It was time. I remembered my '89 Charcoal/Yellow tint roof and my 2000 Silver coupe as I patted the Z06 a final adios! Yes, there was a "moistening" of the eyes, as there is now as I post this final message.
This has been an awesome place to learn and hang out. I didn't post that often and if I had any "claim to fame", it was that I was one of the first ones to put a C6 shifter in my C5.
You have all been awesome!
Thanks for the memories and one of these days, who knows? I my be checkin' in again.
PS: As we took a ride to a neighboring town 30 miles away, of all things, I came upon a 2002 MY Z06. I swallowed hard...........
Good luck with the new wheels! At least it's American Iron so you're helping the econ! Now if several million more people start buying new cars perhaps we'd get part of this recession behind us.

The good news is that there's no such thing as a 68 Challenger... Hemi or otherwise.
To the OP... Good luck Kowalski.

My dad was a Dodge dealer in the '60s and early 70's, so I can't help but love the Challenger. My 15 minutes of fame in the public school system was being driven to junior high by my dad in a '69 Daytona Charger and let out amongst the mass of pre-pubescent classmates.
My heart wants me to get the SRT8, but my head says the Corvette is a better purchase, in spite of the Vette costing more. I just wish they offered the Challenger in Plum Crazy with wihite stripes.
