I don't run the front plate, no probs for 10+ years, but tell me more about the remote set up. Do you push a button and the plate flips away and disappears?
How much $$$
Yes, it is operated by remote. I have one but have yet to install it. It runs about $150 Mid America and I believe one of the vendors on CF sell them.
Looks real cool if you have to run with a plate. Only drawback is drilling 3 holes on lower front fascia. Some have used 2 sided tape which I'm going to look into along with plastic ties for extra security.
I live in Wisconsin and would never put a front plate on my VETTE!!!! Don't care what the so called law says or what all you rules are rules guys say!!
I run front plates on ALL my rides...Colorado is a front plate state...It's another reason I run personalized plates on all of them...
Front plates are a valuable source of information for LEOs....It's one reason I volunteered my time to be in this ad for C6 front plate brackets...NO, I wasnt paid...NO, I dont normally wear the ridiculous hat & sunglasses...and NO, my foot really isnt on the Corvette!!!

As a former Chicago Police Officer I disagree. The rear plate being visable is the most valuable. No tints or obstructions on rear plate. This is why at least in Illinois only the rear plate has experation sticker.
As a Vette owner before I became a P.O. maybe I'm a bit biased.
Got the TopFlight removable mount and installed it yesterday. Promptly put the plate portion into the bin in the hatch where it will spend most of its life. If I get pulled over I'll thank the Officer for reminding me that I forgot to put it on after washing the car and install it right there. Hopefully, he / she will be cool about it and we'll be on our way.
That's the plan I've used since I installed the TopFlight unit last Spring. Amazingly, I turned left into a car wash in front of a LEO last summer, he followed me into the lot, but set up for shooting radar... didn't approach me at all.
Another admitted WA state hooligan, I drove my 'Vettes with no front plates for years - until last month when a County OTL made a U-turn to pull me over for not displaying one. My attitude and all the documentation was in perfect order but the plate was IN - not ON - the car, and he was interested in nothing but giving me a ticket. $100 for the ticket and $50 for the bracket and I now have a front plate on my C6. It looks like a wart on the end of it's nose - but I'm not breaking the law now.
Revenue shortfalls and the attitude of the OTL may be factors in this experience - I don't know. If he was having a bad day he certainly spread it around a little. If he is just a stickler for the law I can't argue the point. The law says display it, and he is not required to explain or justify it - just enforce it. I give - I'm plated.
It's the law in Texas. I run one simply for that reason. I sure as hell wouldn't do something I could write a ticket to someone else for. But be at ease in 27 years I've never written a no front LP ticket.
I don't have a front plate even though it's required in Washington. I got a speeding ticket in Oregon recently and they dismissed the front tag ticket. I had to pay for the speeding ticket though. I had a full size copy of my front tag made on 6 mil vinal with adhesive back that I'm going to put on the front of the car just in case. When I get it on I'll post a picture.

Yes, Id agree the rear is the MOST valuable to LEOs...but the front is too...Ive solved COUNTLESS cases based on front plate info in my 30 years on the job
