CHECK COOLANT LEVEL Error

I have a 2005 Z51 with 17k miles, and a "CHECK COOLANT LEVEL" error came on my instrument panel today.

I checked the resovoir and it's more than full. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

It shouldn't be more than full. Perhaps that's your problem. There may be a blockage somewhere preventing coolant from circulating properly.

What a coincidence, I had the same exact warning yesterday - '07 12.5K on the clock, reservoir is full as well.

Mine did it a couple times last year and when checked it was not low.
then it just stopped doing it.... weird...

GM probably uses the same type sensor as in the former F bodies, - they gunk up. On those, you either replace the sensor (easy) or clean the gunk out of the old one and put it back in.
