Ebrake handle removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the ebrake handle? I removed the boot and the screw but the handle will not budge. I don't want to muscle it off for fear of breaking something. Yes I did try the search feature, but not 1 relevent hit. Thanks in advance.

The top piece has to come off then the leather part slides off.It takes some doing to get the little part off though.Pull as hard as you can!
