The CHMSL on my '09' stays "on" continuously, ignition on or off. Has anyone ever had or heard of this? Haven't talked to the dealer yet, just wondering.

That don't sound right. Does the brake peddle return all the way back up? Stuck relay maybe?

That is a strange one. I've not heard of that before. If it were a brake pedal position switch it seems to me that it would be the brake lights on the rear as well. It could be an issue with the BCM. It sounds like a trip to the dealer is going to be in order. Are you able to get at the codes with a code reader?

The service manual notes that it could be the stop lamp relay. If so you should see P0719 or P0724 in the list of active codes.

first thought it may be an intermittent ground, but that would probably keep it off instead of on....

Went to the dealer yesterday. Seems there is moisture in a connector located behind and below the inboard passenger side taillight.

Just fixed mine - remove either one of the passenger side tail lights and find the large connector that goes to the tail lights, unplug it, clean the corrosion inside the connector, plug it back together, and it's fixed.

Many Thanks to all who posted on how to do it!
