2011 Grand Sport with nav
I tried plugging my ipod shuffle into the usb port in the center console. The touchscreen acknowledges an ipod and an error message appears "device not supported". Any idea why? I don't have the Nav Entertainment book. I just ordered one from a dealer, so excuse me if this is a dumb question.

USB flash drive
I've been using the PAL ever since Ray made it available to the forum. Pretty happy with it. Is there a way to adapt the connector to use a USB flash drive?

The PAL is still a nice device for the Corvette audio system, and I still use it a lot, but I use it with an older iPod (3rd Generation Nano) as a dedicated music storage device. What's nice about the PAL is that it provides a nice interface on the Corvette Nav or non-Nav radio so you can control your music from the radio instead of having to mess with the iPod itself. Plus it displays the music information on the radio face. It still does a good job for that purpose.
Here's another Forum thread that may interest you:

And here's a link to using the PAL with later devices:

For those folks who really want to use a USB interface, take a look at his Forum thread:
