i know there is some code and if it starts with 1 it may not work any info?
The entire blank is narrower, by 1 step, so if you have any cuts on your key that are "not cut", in other words, full width, then it won't work because the new key is not this wide...
This is my understanding...others may chime in if I am incorrect...

Not "could"....but "will"...sure not worth it to me. I did have a thought though...might be able to take both of your cylinders to a locksmith and have him put new pins in it...wouldn't be more than about $10 each...just a thought...

Looks like new cylinders are 175 and the glove box can just be reset plus the 109 for the key
Hide the key somewhere under the car and just carry the FOB.
And get another fob, program everything, and hide it somewhere inside the car wrapped in aluminum foil. That way you could lose everything on your person but still be able to open the car, retrieve the hidden fob, and drive home.
Yes, a really lucky thief could find your outside key, open the trunk, search around inside and find the foil-wrapped fob, unwrap it, get in the drivers seat and start the car. You could also be struck by a meteor.
