That is what I do. Actually I have always done that anyway. I don't like parking next to people because most don't have respect for other peoples property. And it does not matter what car you have.
Me too. But, then there is always that clown who has to come park next to my car, even though there are fifty empty spaces all around mine.
Thanks Ken-RX. I'm going to take a closer look at that product.
You can take two minutes to put a little invisible plastic film on the spot where there is the greatest chance of screwing up your finish or you can whine for hours later.
Lets just seal up the whole car, that way you don't have to worry about anything damaging the car slightly.
Really its best to just keep the car safe in the garage. Pull it out to wash and dry it and then back into the garage for the wax. Much safer not to drive it....
Gee... I get the impression that if somebody asked what's the best brand of diapers to use, some of you would advise them to throw the baby out because you don't like babies. Whether or not you are interested in protecting the edges of your own car doors wasn't the question.
The correct answer: 3M or another brand of protective clear shield.
Come on out to the windy city and keep that note handy.
or it'll blow away...
I think the door edge guards make sense for peace of mind, even if the door never hits anything. If it were me, I'd use the 3M stuff, probably the heavier thickness one, too.
I also had my door edges done when I had my clear bra installed. I also have a two car garage with minimum space between my Vette and Jag. No matter how carefull when opening the door, At times I just tap the the side of the Jag. Have not put any marks on either car.
