oh and just fyi.. i also replaced all bulbs with leds inside and out, and the side markers are the only ones that i CANT see a diference. but thats just me.
I just did this on my 2013 C6 GS convertible. Changing rear lenses/bulbs is NOT super easy. Maybe the fact that I have a convertible. When you remove tail light it is a TIGHT reach, but attainable. Front is 3 minutes. Turn front wheel away from you..remove 5 screws..reach in easy reach

I tie mine off to the wheel to hold it open while I change a lamp, and with one hand, you'll probably have to do this too.

Then it's pretty easy to reach in and twist the socket/lamp out. Access through the outer tail-light is even easier.

One caveat with some LED's, make sure they are held in tightly by the socket. I had some that fell out inside the light and I had to remove the light from the fender to shake the LED out.

Where can I get Led bulbs for my side markers

The side markers, and license plate lights are # 194's (or 194 LL for 'long life') and are readily available from many sources.

Forum Vendors Radio Flyer or PFYC may have these........... or Xenon Depot or V-LED's or Auto Illumination and probably any local, better quality, auto parts store.

Most stores will not warranty any lighting products, but most Forum Vendors do.

I just fact checked myself and TheRadioFlyer may not be a Forum Vendor. However, in reading all of their lighting threads, they know what they're doing and appear to be a very 'stand up' company.

Pretty much sums it up.

I disagree, I put LEDs in my side markers, you have to put the same color LED as the cover, amber up from and red in the back.

If you put white LEDs in then you don't get all the light output as it is filtered thru the cover.

I did my fronts at the same time as the fogs, because yes you need to undo the front of the wheel well liner to get to the bulbs, but I didn't need to take the wheels off. Just turned the wheel all the way in and jacked up the front with a floor jack under the front pad with a jacking puck.

I couldn't just remove the bulb holder and put it back in and I have a coupe. Maybe with just a normal incandescent 194 it can work, but the LED bulbs are slightly longer and it is already tight in there.

I removed the whole marker by squeezing the tabs, then replace bulb and put the whole thing back in. It was much easier after struggling with the first side trying to do it without removing the whole thing.

2008 White Vert. I replaced my side markers with the smoked ones. I also used Sylvania 194A and 194R LED bulbs. The DOT states in my state that side markers must be the correct colors for front and rear. No exceptions. Shows just fine through the smoked lenses.

Default 194 led buld is Polarity sensitive, easy fix

I was replacing my corner front lights and my rear lights (some people call them marker lights) and they would not come on. I had the old filament bulbs and switched them out with 194 LED bulbs and they wouldn't work. Spun the buld around, put it back in and it worked. Positive has to be positive, negative with negative, no problem easy fix.
