I'm almost dead sure the mufflers need to be swapped,
call the manufacturer and describe the problem, they will help you!!
I think you're right. I called flowmaster, but didn't get too far. I still can't find the numbers on the mufflers. A slight problem though is that I think the mufflers are spot welded where they meet the over-axle-pipe. Is it possible to maybe grind it off, or heat it up or something?? I'm not positively sure it is spot welded, but for some reason I think it may be.
They are not right. I had the flows and the mufflers do not come marked with left or right - only the over-the-axle pipes to. I screwed around for a bit until I figured it out. Your mufflers may be reversed.
But if you think about it, even if they're on the wrong side, it doesn't really matter because they are both exactly the same. If I can just somehow adjust the hangers and move the tips closer together, I'd be a happy camper

I know! The guy from flowmaster was insisting there was markings and he also said there is no mufflers from flowmaster that are not marked. He kind of made me feel like an idiot on the phone. I was telling him that 3 exhaust mechanics couldn't even find the markings and he just said they are looking in the wrong spot. If you remember, did the Flowmaster logo face in the inside or outside (facing the rear tires)??

I can't remember which way the logo faced. I did my system myself and had a hard time getting them in when they were wrong. Once I switched them around they went right in. If your over-the-axle pipes aren't banging or they didn't bend them to fit then they are probably on right. Here's a pic of mine before I switched to Corsa. I wished the pic had been shot straight on.

The passenger side use to bang/rattle against the rear diff, but this one mechanic fixed it for me. Yea, I wished you did have a picture that was straight on.
I like it the way it is, but if it was banging and had to be bent....
btw, did you send a pic to Flowmaster? might help them tell you if it's right or wrong. might also get it up on a lift and take a pic of the bottom side to show them (and us, since there are some who've had it, not me).
What do you mean there is no adjustment?? Like I can't move them at all?
The muffler cans have pins on them that slide into rubber grommets that support them & they are not adjustable....yours do appear to be set out wider than any I've ever seen though.
I'm just thinking that if I swap the mufflers, there will be no difference because both mufflers are exactly the same. There is no difference whatsoever.
Anyone see what I am saying?? Both mufflers are identical... I would go to an exhaust shop in a heartbeat if I can see a difference between the two mufflers, but so far they look the same. BTW, you guys are the greatest! Thanks so much for all of your input.
~Steve~
I am positive that the mufflers need to be switched, if you look at a muffler one of the hangers is facing more upwards and the other is more at a slant. So all you have to do is switch the mufflers and it will center up.

How are you so positive? No offense, I would just like to know. Thanks. And, if they are spot welded, can a local muffler shop still be able to swap them?
