Serious?
Okay so theres this guy I know and he owns a Dodge Caliber SRT4. Well, he's been saying that his SRT4 Caliber can smoke the 'vette in a race. Ofcourse theres no intention of racing, but seriously is it possible for a stock SRT4 to keep up or beat a stock C6 Corvette? I doubt that he will take the 'vette, any thoughts on this?

Caliber SRT4 should do mid 14's stock, maybe high 13's with the right conditions. Of course you can search the web and find modified versions turning mid 11's, at least until the high turbo boost causes it to blow!

He has driven the vette and he thinks his Caliber can take it. I think most of the replies are right, the vette would win hands down. He's trying to make it look like he has the better car but all the power to him for humiliating himself.

To answer your question, a stock Caliber SRT4, uhhhh, NO! The above quote is right, the Caliber probably seems amazingly fast to your friend, but relative to what he has driven in the past. You should ask him why he thinks that.
Oh, I just saw that you said he has driven the Vette and still thinks his is faster. He may just be a candidate to ride the short bus.
Consider too, it may FEEL a little different doing 100mph in a Caliber compared to a C6, speed can be deceiving in some cars.
