Damn, wife driving the 08 and I'm in the F150. We both pull away from the curb, I get to the light right down the road and look in the mirror. WTF! Corvett's nosed into a fire hydrant, water shooting, Mazda Miata sideways in the road. Flip a U and hault *** back. Everyones OK - air bags deployed etc. Pizza delivery boy turned right in front of her in a company car (whew). Actually kept accellerating and pushed the front of the Vette into the hydrant hard enough to pop 3 bolts and blow the base gasket. Whole front end of the Vette is toast! From windshield forward is cracked, missing or just crushed. I hope it's a total because it will never be the same. Thank goodness no one got hurt. Damn fool in the Miata kept trying to say the wife hit him. Cop just laughed. She was starting to cry and all I had to say was "well, looks like we get the Z06 now" Hmmm, her whole outlook changed. I'll know tomorrow what the insurance investigator says.

Thanks. Air bags deployed and she was in remakable shape. Actually took it quite well. I'll tell you, when I looked in the mirror and saw what happened it took about 2 or 3 seconds to process. That was the strange part. We will see if totaled. I am going to the yard tomorrow to take some pictures. Another concern I had was that Onstar never went off. I thought that when air bags deployed they contacted the FBI or notified Obama or something. I guess I'll call them in the morning and see if I can get some answers. Oh well, can't change the past - only look to the future and live in the moment.

Sorry to hear about your vette, glad your wife is ok. Airbags deploying usually do mean the car is totaled but don't know if this is true for your vette or not.
