Very seldom most of the time the FOB is in my pocket, and stays there.

I think it would be cool if they integrated the FOB functions into a classy tachometer style wristwatch; something like a Tag F1. I know I'd buy it.

As my car is set up to lock only by pushing the button, I still do not have to push the button to unlock. It just stays in my pocket then.

As my car is garaged it is unlocked most times anyway!

Setting to lock that way kind of makes it impossible to lock the keys in the car. That keys locked in car has happened way too many times as reported here.

I use it every once in a while. Not sure why, probably becuase it's the first car I've owned that has a FOB. I think once I get used to it more, it will never get used unless I need to pop the hatch.

No, not used with the Corvette. I do like to use the remote beep for the Bimmer, especially when parked on the street downtown and someone is walking their yap dog by the car. So far, the record for a vertical jump is held by a Schitzu at approximately 25 inches. Hey, I wouldn't Schitzu about that.

Not even when you wash them?

And why do you need it for the hatch? There are 2 buttons you know. One inside and one outside.

I put my FOB in my pocket when I get dressed and take it out when I get undressed. Other than that it stays in my pocket. I don't ever press any of the FOB buttons unless I'm testing something. I have the FOB jacket (05-07 only so far) so I don't even accidentally press a button.

My favorite high-end watch company does this for Aston Martin. The Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX II DBS (retail price $28,000 in gold, $16,000 in titanium) will even start your car for you. I guess if you're paying a couple hundred thousand for a car, another 20k for a watch that'll start it is no sweat.

As for the poll, I absolutely love the fact that I never have to reach for my keys anymore... not to get in, not to open the hatch, not to start the car, and not to lock it. Just put the fob in my pocket and go.

There are times my car sits outside of my office within range of my fob. I am never convinced one way or the other the car is locked.

But watching the lights flash when you hit the button convinces you that the car is -actually- locked?

I make my wife wait . . . and keep the fob in my pocket. If I didn't the fob would end up in the wrong place, and I would be embarrassed.

The outside button is on the right side of the rear license plate bracket -- on the top part -- you have to feel around for it a bit, but it's there. I would have never found it if I hadn't read about it in the owners manual!
