to drag race good = turn off trac control and put in competition mode, leave in S and floor it but modulate gas to keep it from spinning
to drift it = turn off everything, put in S and keep it in 1st or 2nd... becareful though, without AH, the comp wont save you.
burn out = turn everything off, leave in D and floor it.
Your getting hosed on the tires if your paying that
My Z06 tires did not cost that much.
Well, I may have exaggerated a tad. A GSD3 245/40R18 Runflat is $520. I haven't had to replace the 19s yet but I'd imagine they are pretty close to that same price so....520 X 4 = $2,080

As I get older, I realize drifting and burnouts are for kids.
I would say it is for the young at heart. There are several kids i know that wont even try to drift or do any type of advanced driving (although it might just be a fear/interest factor with them)
ok so to burn out leave it in drive with everything off and floor it got ya.
drifting put it in manual and turn the AH off ...ok
how about the "flick" the Swedish do, i cant rememberer the name other than flick is the last word, hows that go, is it basically drifting but with more understeer?

The "Scandanavian Flick." As best I know it's just drifting. However, all I've ever heard of it is what I've seen on Top Gear, so it can't actually be considered information.

You start by steering to the opposite direction (i.e. Scandinavian Flick), of the turn, then steer into the turn, lifting off the throttle and/or applying the brakes lightly. This will cause you to slide sideways facing slightly away from the turn. Then you need to steer into the turn and release the brakes and while still holding down the throttle, you should be drifting around the turn.
Sounds more complicated than what it really is.
Oh, BTW, if you have kids and they watched the movie "Cars," they may be able to tell you about the Scandinavian Flick. There was a good description about it in the movie....
