I know this may sound like a silly question, but since I'mm looking at a ZO6, I'd like to hear from you enthusiasts why I should get one. thanks folks.
The short answer is that the Z06 is the best bang for the buck out there. There are many reviews out there on the C6. I'm sure you will get some solid feedback here from Z06 folks and those who have owned coupes/verts as well.
Because if you read this: " President Plan Calls for Tougher MPG Standards

If you've already test drove the car and still have questions about buying a Corvette, I highly suggest that you not buy it. You'll either love it or hate it.

you wont be able to get anything like it within 2 to 4 years at a price a normal person can afford...
the hp V8 high water mark has been hit..
with the gov's recent agreement to make all of the US meet california emissions standards, and a car fleet average of 42 mpgs within less than 10 years its over...
and my opinion GM and chrysler are done.. the gov will prop them up for a time but they wont be here in recognizable forms in ten years...
despite all of this you might decide not to get one because you might not be able to find a decent dealer to service it.. and if the workers are demoralized enough.. you might not want what they end up grinding out in these dark times....
