Default Engine Light On

O.K., I replaced the air intake with a Hurricane CFI a couple of months back. (Looks incredible - BTW).

Anyway, after doing so the engine light came on and stayed on. Dealer said, "Yeah, replacing the intake does that and there is no fix".

Posted the question here and folks said to just disconnect the battery for 30+ minutes, reconnect, and drive.

That worked like a charm.

The problem is, the 2nd time I drive the car. The engine light is back on.

Disconnect the battery, repeat, light is off whether I drive for 5 minutes or 5 hours.

Once I turn the vehicle off and turn it back on again....you guessed it, the engine light is back on.

So, any ideas?????????

Thanks in advance.

I would think that a talk with Chuck Cow would be in order...it sounds like the MAF sensor is being disrupted and it may be that a tune is the way to deal with it...
There is a reason that GM designed the intake system the way they did...

The code that is turning on the light needs to be checked though...it could be something as simple as a vacuum line not connected...
