not to ruffle anyones feathers. but, why are there more vette shows in the east vs the west? there are probably as many if not more vette owners out here in the west [near perfect driving weather} it seems like the east is catered to more that us out here in the west.. no be pissed off it an honest question?
I'm not sure that there are . . . California actually had the highest number of Corvette registrations in the last data I saw, but apart from the plant being located in Kentucky, I would think that more shows would be held in areas where there's better weather and less chance of rain?
In the Phoenix area, there's a car show with a large number of Vettes every Saturday night at Pavilions Center (101/Indian Bend) and others throughout the state including a great Fall meet up in Prescott.

Maybe with all the nice weather here in the west we're too busy actually driving our Corvette's. I've got nothing against car shows (and I may go to one on occasion) but I have very little interest in detailing and exhibiting my car. I'd rather be driving it. The 'car shows' I enjoy are the ones on a road course. To each their own...it's all good!
As much as we love our vettes and we have near perfect weather in the west there are so many other things to do with the vette than just run to a vette show. You just hit the road on any given day and it is a vette show since there are so many out here as mentioned previously. On the contrary the east runs to a vette show because you just never know if you will ever see sunshine. This is all in good fun so don't get offended.

I have to agree with most here. You Easteners are couped up all winter and need to blow your wad in a short period of time. We on the other hand enjoy it all year long....
I thought it's becuase the further east you go from the fruits and nuts out west in places like, say... California, the more you don't care about displaying to the world that you are driving a beast that the eco friendly greenie-weenies deem a threat the environemnt
lol its funny to read the responses!! sorry i meant get togethers.. i went to a show that i was invited to 3 hrs away. and was treated like i had the plague!! rods and newer vettes dont mix!!! i should have taken my 73 challenger 440 bb !! i like to hang out when i have time with car guys... some vette owners are snobby!! i have mine for the beauty of the car it has great lines, its quick, and i sometimes cant stop staring at it!! it sounds sick huh?
That is because it is so crowded back east, they figure they might as well be in a car show. Especially since our max speed limit in Utah is at least 15mph higher than most states back east.
I was born in NJ so I lived with the crowds for a while.
