with you about the frame so I bet they'll bolt right up.

On another note though, looking at the message board, I guess building fake Z06s just doesn't provide the fix that it once did.

People are talking about building fake Grand Sports already, and you are about to trump them all and are drawing up plans to build a fake Caddy.

Also how hard would it be to engineer a solid roof and make an XLR Z if you would
Of course to your first post, many here would likely ask: "Now why in the hell would anyone want to go to the effort and expense take a Corvette, and turn it into a Caddy. Why not just go ahead and buy a Caddy?

But with some of these "conversions" done in here, nothing surprises me anymore. If you'd have said that you wanted to take a Vette and add Nissan parts to it and turn into a GT-R, it would not have shocked me.

Sure, anything can be done......if you want to spend enough money. For your C6, you would spend at least 30k in making it look like a xlr....which would be dumb. If you want to make an Xlr more corvette like, twin turbo it (for Zo6 like power) and buy a whole bunch of aftermarket stick-on interior goodies so it has a cheap looking interior (like the c6). problem solved. Now go over to the supra forum and tell them you want to make it look like a RX-7. happy hunting

btw, the suggestions in my post were for mostly for humor , as you have no idea what is feasable and or cost effecient. you could OWN both cars for the cost of putting XLR body panels on a vette.

The XLR-V (446HP) and the STS-V (469HP) both have the same exact Northstar motor. The XLR-V has a wicked exhaust bend that limits the HP a bit. The CTS-V has 556HP...

I own a C6 and a 09 XLR-V and even though the XLR-V was based on the Vette I doubt the body panels from one car will fit the other without some modifications. If I were you and you are serious just go and buy a XLR-V.

Hop up or drop in a new engine and add the Vette suspension pieces.

I wouldn't say much stiffer unless you have the numbers to back it up. The frames rails are very similar.

What you dont understand young lad, is youre driving a car it takes many folks the better part of their adult life to afford...Many of them have worked countless hours and made many personal sacrifices for their dream to come true.....

Suddenly a 16 year old kid comes along driving the car they worked so long and hard for...They arent impressed, dont expect them to be....Just appreciate what you have and take care of it....Life has a way of yanking the rug out from under you when you least expect it (BTDT)
