I took my vette on the side of my double wide and shot a .45 cal at the stock exhaust. It's loud and get's louder daily.

Let me guess. You have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

No, illegal to carry a gun on you in Illinois. I broke the law.

I've got Magnaflows, and the sound is definitely "big block". However, there is drone, and some popping and blubbering on decel. I don't mind those noises, but they are not for everyone. They sound incredible at WOT.

I have the SLP PowerFlo - compared it to an NPP the other day and the SLP definitely has a deeper (lower frequency) rumble. I like the flexibility (and no drone) of the NPP, but the SLP sounds better IMHO.

I suggest you contact a local Corvette club to try to find a club meet, car show or even a track in your area where you might hear some different setups firsthand. See which sounds best to you. Keep in-mind any potential future modifications you might make. Something like headers can vastly change what an exhaust sounds like.

Corsa exhausts are virtually drone free while IMO Borla exhausts are more susceptible to producing drone in the C6. Good luck!

Do a search, tons of threads on this. And sound is very subjective. You want loud, but what is loud to one, is mellow to another. I have the Corsa Sports, and the first thing every one says about them, no drone. Nothing about the sound, just no drone. There isn't any drone, because they don't make much sound. Very quiet compared to just about any other exhaust. Borlas and others generally make a deeper sound and much louder (but they will all have some amount of drone). And that may or may not bother you.

Best to find a few people and go listen to them. Of course, I did that, listened to 2 different exhausts, got lots of advice on here, and still ended up changing my exhaust twice, and am thinking about doing it again. This car is not just expensive to buy, its expensive to own!

I have the GM Cat-back Performance Exhaust (GM part #1780884)
which is, I believe, made by Borla for GM.
It raps, it burbles, it barks: it's terrific! And I love to hear it.
It also gets favorable comments from other folk; some of them 'Vette owners/drivers.
It may not be music to everyone's ears, but it's a symphony to mine!
