The 40th Anniversary editions were nice, but 15 years of development and updating have made a world of difference. There's really no comparing C4's to C6's. But that's a really nice C4!

BTW - You've got to use the "IMG Code" when including pics in your posts. They look like the links you provided with "" (at the end) around the link (no quotes)

Here's a couple of your pics:

Seeing that I owned a new '93 and have a new (at the time) '08, yes, there's a huge difference. But, you are looking at a significant jump in cost, you realize. There are no $7100 or even double that number C6s.

I'd say, go to a dealer and try out a used one, then make your decision.

First I believe you got a hell of buy for 7 grand! Can't beat that if the car is in any kind of decent shape. As for the comparison between C4 and C6 there really isn't one. They are completely different animals with the exception they are both corvettes. The 93 was a great car in it's day but the C6 is a true world class machine now! You can't touch a C6 for 7 grand anyway so enjoy your ride. When you're ready there were be plenty of nice used C6's out there......

No, they do not ride the same, at all. Nor do they handle the same. Nor does the power come on the same. At the very least, you're talking an LT1 with stock 300 hp, and the least-powerful LS2 Corvette having 400 hp. Major, major differences.

As I said, go out to a dealer and test drive even a used C6!!!! Then you will know the difference at least superficially, to some extent.

As mentioned, you got a nice '93 but in comparison to the 2005+ C6 you're talking 'apples and oranges.'

Do not go and test drive the C6, you might kick yourself a little for getting the C4.

You have a very nice ride, I really like that color on the C4.

Good entry level car for Corvette territory.

You would need 3 times that much $$ just for a decent down payment on a C6. You did good.

What you purchased is nice, the price is right, you can however compare it to a C6. Be happy with your choice enjoy it for a couple of years then look for a C6 if you still want one.

Let's put it this way. I only drove my C4 twice since buying my C6 over 2 years ago. I love my C4, but just not the same thrill as a C6.

(photo was taken when my C6 was still stock........a long time ago.)

First, that is a good price on the C4. How many miles?
Here's my seat of the pants comparison to the ride and handling difference. In a C4 you sit low between the rails. I always felt very comfortable in my C4s on mountain roads. The C6 feels more like you're sitting more upright. The power has a much different feel as well.

On the C4... the Optispark distributor system is problematic. So are water pumps. Other than that, the LT1 overall is great.

C6 is better, but that is how it should be due to the time frame. The C4 was good for its time as well. Can't compare the two since the time is different and so is/was the technology.

I guess I will have to take one out for a test drive, but can anyone explain how the power feel’s different? I heard they ride softer this true?

The way I see it is you are just borrowing these cars to have fun. I think you made a smart choice. My dad used to have an 84 and it was a blast. You can have just as much fun in a C4 as a C5 or C6. Granted, if you have the money the smart choice would be the C5 or the C6.

I think I’m going to hang on with what I have and enjoy it for awhile! I’m still going to take a c6 for test ride

It's obvious you stole the "93. unless it's in poor condition. But comparing a C4 to a C6 is like you know Comparing a '75 to a "93. You must know the anwser to that, Don't you?
