Default More problems with APSIS.

Clearly I'm not the only one having problems with apsis. Read this topic

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...ed-advise.html

My experience
First off, beware when you purchase from these guys. He sells you crappy products and will not issue an immediate refund. Fit and finish on products are not as advertised....terrible communication, unprofessional and just unworthy of being a corvette forum vendor IMO. I can hardly understand the guy on the phone as he YELLED at me throughout the entire conversation. In his defense, he said I was being difficult for asking for shipping cost back when it's stated in his refund policy otherwise. He won't respond back to refunds by email BUT will immediately respond when you wish to purchase something.

Still no excuse for his behavior over the phone and I don't see how it's so hard to just clearly state shipping cost are non refundable. UPDATE YOUR SITE BUDDY! how about a click wrap agreement or even an option to purchase online??

He will end up refunding me for two items but I will lose shipping on original and replacement order. And another $250 for paint. He over charges you for shipping too. What?? Not making enough money on $400 a pop for something that cost you a few bucks to make??

I'm out about $70 on shipping + $250 for local paint job because his products are not as advertised. . He states he's not liable for these but still.. develop better products and we won't have this problem.

Just save yourself some time and do not buy from him.

Those of you who've had good experiences with him in the past..I'm happy for you, didn't work out for me.

Before I purchased, I made clear I was picky about gaps. He informed me that there are no gaps at all, even when I pointed them out in some of his pictures.

He will blame it on install, like I've read on other post but this was correctly installed exactly per his instructions, I just unbolted the 4th bolt slightly in the pics because I didn't want to pull the bumper up so much and possibly leave a dimple in the painted spoiler or nasty hump. If I tighten all the way, it still leaves 2 gaps.
The 3m adhesive shows too : ( I pressed down as I pulled the tape off. Did not help. He told me to sand off the edges on the spoiler. I refused because it should fit without this BS.

some gaps on the back side too sorry a little blurry

I purchased the product with the advertised no gap pitch. He insured me in several emails there are no gaps. I replied on that promise and the end result was disappointing.

I did have something go wrong, a piece I bought at Carlisle last year that was broken when I got home. The replacement parts were not due in for a few weeks, but they arrived early, and I got a replacement for the broken piece in less than 18 days, and shipped to canada. My experience was outstanding and i have sent many others to APSIS for their products.

Sorry to hear about your dealings with APSIS. I think they have some very good quality products but IMO they are way over priced compared to other vendors on here with the same quality products.

I ordered some parts from Apsis about a year ago.
I too, was not happy with what I received.

I knew going in that if I wasn't happy with the product, I would have to pay for the shipping to return it. I paid for the return shipping, and Jersey quickly refunded my money....no questions asked.

Keep in mind that these are custom made parts - which take several months to develop. Apsis is a small company, selling a relatively low volume of parts. So, it is extremely expensive for them to produce what they sell.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your order.
But, in my opinion, Jersey is a stand-up guy.

Default APSIS problem

I've purchased several parts from JERSY. My experience is that he is a standyup guy and I could understand him very well. So your bitch about shipping cost refund is not reasonable. I have returned several items that when I received them I was not satisfied with fit and finish. I was very pleased when I got permission to return the part these were not purchased from APSIS however. Sorry to hear about your problem maybe Jersy will read these replys and work it out with you

I've now replaced every bit of the exterior trim on my Z with APSIS carbon fiber (and added the front splash guards as well), and could not be happier with the quality of the products, they are gorgeous to say the least. I've seen some of the CF pieces from other sources, and the quality doesn't come close. The customer service from Jersey was great as well, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to deal with them again.

I have dealt with Jersey also, I did have to trim pieces to get them to fit. For example the door bezel overlays and the A6 shifter cap. The pieces were too big as a direct overlay and would not go back in to place. I glued them on and took a dremel and sanded the over hang down to a perfect fit. Should I have had to do that? probably not, but Jersey did offer to refund my money if I didn't want to do that.
The option was mine,
David

Got my splash guards from Jersey. Very expensive but great product and perfect fit. Also got a few other C/F pieces from him in Carlisle last year. I've had no problems with him.

I think your post would be a lot more effective if you provided pictures of what you consider poor quality. It sounds like enough people have had good experiences that your complaints (and the way you present them) may just be interpreted as someone with a bad attitude, whining when they didn't get what they wanted (especially since it's stated that shipping costs are not refundable).

But if the fit and finish of the products is truly bad (and you can show that), then a good vendor should offer to cover the shipping costs back and forth to make it right. The thing I would question is "how bad is bad?".

Good luck in getting this resolved, but I have a feeling this post won't last too long here.

Still a little overpriced for what they are and how they fit!

Front and rear zo6 style long splash guards on my C6 from Jersey. Followed included directions, made sure fit was CORRECT BEFORE starting install. The install turned out perfectly. No problems and they look great. Jersey was great to deal with and his product although expensive is perfect.
