I recently purchased a used, very low mileage 07 C6. It has been a great car but it came with 3 set of LED lights. One set on the top of each door panel and one on the back of the rear view mirror. When the car is turned off they flash in a variety of adjustable patterns. The patterns can be controlled by pressing a little chrome button on each of the lights when the ignition is on. The lights are wired into the door and mirror.
At first I thought they were just fake security lights to scare off bad guys. But recent I had not driven the car for 7 days and they went into a slow, single led light flash. I am thinking that the lights may somehow sense that the battery has not been charged for awhile and go into a conservation mode? After I started the car and ran the car, the lights went into the normal flashing pattern I had previously set.
I have attached 3 pictures of the lights. Can anybody ID these lights?
The LEDs do not seem to impact the battery much, quality installation. It does look like knight rider and normally I really do not like stuff like this. But it looks pretty imposing when parked. I considered taking them off but would have to take off the door panels, and I would like to be sure they do not effect anything else.
