Default Looking for any mods!

I have a 2005 silver coupe 6 speed and am looking to do some mods to it. I really don't know what all there is to add, so let me know what you have and the price and things like that. Or if you have a suggestion on what I should try and find, that would be fine too. Thanks in advance!

Are you serious!?! Uh, ok. I've got well over $20k mods. Some have over $50k. What exactly are you interested in?

Probably easier to tell people how much money you have to spend if you want advice other than do a search of the site.

Well it depends on what kind of mod it is on the price. I mean I don't want to put stupid money into it but I am open to listen to whatever mods are out there that people are wanting to sell. I am open to any kinds of mods whether it be mechanical or appearance, but preferably appearance.

Appearance, Exterior: Full Widebody Kit (Z06 or ZR1 front end), Big wheels/tires, Z06 Brakes, Front Grille, Side vent grilles, Painted Door Handles, Spoiler, Vented Hood, HID Foglights, Blackouts, Window tint, Stripes, to name a few.

Appearance, Interior: Leather Everything, Carbon Fiber Everything else, Floormats, Rear Carpet, Steering Wheel, Gages/Surrounds, Shifter ****, Pedals, Seats, basically everything you touch can be changed/improved.

Mechanical/Performance: Wheels/Tires/Brakes, Intake, Exhaust, Sway Bars, Tunnel Plate, Coilovers, Headers, Cats, Tune, and a plethora of Engine Mods including FI, Supercharger or Turbo. Do you want to keep your Warranty?

Your first decision needs to be your budget and then your commitment regarding the time it will take to install everything. There are a lot of scenarios that start with, since I'm doing this or have this apart, I might as well do............. Some things are cheaper than others and your only limitation is your imagination, and bank account.

Good Luck, now hit the "books".

A new shifter would be a good place to start, I installed the MGW 2 months after purchase and have never doubted my decision since. Tune and then a CAI. Under $1000 for all this and definitly seat of the pants fun and enjoyment factor of 10X. Then throw in a complete Z06 LS7 exhaust system from the manifolds back with an exhaust controller for the flaps for under a $1000, another factor of 10X, unless money is not an object then go for the long tubes and aftermarket exhaust. Then have some more fun. ENJOY!!!!!

What is your primary interest...show or go? You don't have to peruse the Corvette Forum long before you'll find all sorts of modification ideas. You at least have to know in a general sense what you're most interested in.

One call to Gerardo at DS Vettes and your interior can look like this:

Then you could touch up the exterior a little:

A little upgrade to the door sills:

There are many mods you can do and many forum dealers you can go to.

I really want to add a total of 30 horsepower or so, I already have the magnaflow catback exhaust which I think adds around 10hp. I would like to add about 30 more. Plus, I want to add some to the outside. Not really worried too much about the interior, because most of the add ons to the interior are pricey and not really worth it. I am very interested in buying a cold air intake if anyone has a good one for sale. Also, where would I take it for a tune? What all does a tune add? Thanks for all the help.

Is vararam the best type of CAI? And where can I get a tune, how much does it cost, and what all does it add?

You can get some ideas in the Cosmetic and Other Mods section of the C6 FAQ. Here's the link.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...tions-new.html

Other places to browse and learn are the C6 Tech/Performance and the C6 FI/Nitrous sections of the forum.

pass on the vararam.. use the search feature as to why not to buy one.

the first thing I did was lower mine.. made it look much better. then the cam kit.. get headers, exhaust, shifter, shift ****, rims/tires. Then a nitrous kit and you're all set for a few months. yay!
