i have always had black bra covers. i have always loved the looks. yes, i have been and remain stuck in the 1980's. lol.
currently, i have a yellow vert with a black top, and the black bra and black mirror covers bring out the black thoughout the outside as a variation to the yellow color, BUT, i am now considering the clear tape type invisible bra.
does anyone out there have that type of protector installed on their car? does it work? do you like it? is the 3m tape product the best? would anyone have a picture of one already installed on their car?
with nobody caring what falls on the road these days, my old fashion bra has saved my front end, but i do realize that you constantly have to keep the underneath spotless and dry at all times. so i am looking to catch up with the modern times.
thousands of us have clear-bras, of one brand or another, and it's a nearly unanimous verdict in their favor. i'll never have another vehicle without having one installed on it. if you're in the d/fw area there is a great installer available just north of ft. worth near tms.
Be very careful about who you let install it. That's the key.
You know what a windshield looks like after about 20k, well that is what the front end looks like if you are lucky and don't have some form of protection. I laugh at when people said they will just repaint the front end every few years. I can tell you a lot of the Vette colors are a pain to match.
gbgary, YES i live in the dfw metroplex. any advice will/would be greatly appreciated! any idea on the cost factor? thanks everyone again!! tim
Cost varies greatly with product, amount you want to install and the install. For me VS installed in Utah up to 1/2 hood and mirrors was about $550. The $300 offers won't last long.
got one, love it, I don't even notice the lines...worth every dime...I do my own instal so for me it was cheap (I don't recommend doing your own instal unless you have a helping hand that has done it before or has worked with similar applications like Vehicle wraps...)

Not Dallas area, but mine cost $450, for the entire car:
Front, backs of mirrors, rocker panels( with a wrap over lip of door sill), behind front and rear wheels, and in front of rear wheel. wouldn't be without it. Wife thinks its saran wrapped. Not completely invisible up close but it is from 10'.
yeah i need to drive out of the dfw texas area. the cheapest that i have found just for the bumper is $550 and they were not using a 3m product. i think that is expensive. i realize though it is labor intensive, but still....! gee, ebay has the bumper kit for $24.95
& free shipping!!! lol
I'm going to get it done to mine.
Googled, Venture Shield, it's a 3M product, and called some Installers in my area.
Called 3 places and was quoted very similar prices.
$400.00 - $1,200.00 depending on amount of surface being covered.
The average price for 1/3 Hood, full Bumper, front of Fenders and Mirrors was around $550-650.00
To get Everything covered it was $1,200.00 or more.
Here's a link to a site to "Find Installer" in your area. http://members.invisiblepatterns.com/dealers.php
As already mentioned: make sure to find a Reputable Installer to get it done Correctly
everytime i pull away from my driveway, i hear the scratching of under my front bumper.
will this make it scratch free?
No. What you're most likely hearing is the black air dam scraping. It's designed to handle being scraped without damage and it's not a piece that gets wrapped with the clearbra material.

Great point.
Ventureshield here. About $650 installed 1/3 the way up. Ventureshield does scratch but is stronger then 3M. 3M you can buff the scratches out.
