Default Open Roof

We came back from a nice drive in So Cal. Great day, and we took the roof off the '08 z51 coupe. First time in about 2 months.

At one red light, a couple came up beside us in a black coupe, no top. He said "...nice to see the roof off, too bad most people always leave 'em on." I nodded ..

True, most of the time, my tops are on. I notice the same for most other coupes also.. so, how many out there actually drive top off most of the time, weather permitting? How many have never had them off????

I take mine off every day coming home from work -- weather permitting. Usually a little cool in the mornings to drive in with them off.

OTOH, wife's contacts bother her with the top off, so I'm never without the top when she's with me.

I like driving with the top off, usually 50/50 depending on if its too hot or cold.

Just came back from ride w/ roof off. That's why they are removable.

Weather permitting I take the top off, but was leary at first thought it might cause the old "roof popping" but that turned out to be a non issue.

Ours is on most of the time, but we have had it off for a significant number of trips. I love having the option!

I like to take mine off every chance I get but it's been WAY too hot in Houston for that. I sometimes stop at Starbuck's on the way home. Drop the top in the back and head home for a 50 mile drive. Even at high speeds, it's nice.

I've only had mine off once, but I haven't had the car for two months yet - so there will be more "topless" days in my future. As others have mentioned, it's a bit hot down here right now, as such the "thrill" seems to melt a bit in the heat.

It was a deciding factor when we got the Z...the top rarely came off.

Anytime I go for a cruise and the temps are at least in the 70s the roof is off.

Wouldn't be of any concern for me either if I were going into a Z.
