So I'm not sure if this is a problem with the C6Z, or me not knowing how to work the computer. My settings won't stay when I turn the car off and then turn it back on. So I have my personal settings saved on the little button 1 thing on the door. And when I get back into the car, it's as if the battery died (radio presets are reset, time is off) and I have to hit button 1 to get it to restore my stuff. Is it not supposed to stay on my settings?
Also, it's random when it will move the seat back when getting out. Sometimes it will push the seat all the way back and sometimes it won't. What makes me think this whole thing might be electrical and not just me not knowing what I'm doing is that my left headlight flickers and then may or may not stay on. I sometimes have to cycle the lights a few times to get it to stay on.
Maybe I just didn't understand how the computer works, but I thought I'd ask here, maybe it's a known quirk or something.
you need to go to the dealer, or someone who has a tech 2 scan tool and is familiar with our cars. have it scanned and see if any BCM codes are in it's history. [body control module] sounds like it could have some issues there. good luck
Just thought I'd post an update in case anyone else had the same issue. It was in fact me being retarded. I didn't realize each of the FOBs were associated with different in car settings. Somehow I had gotten the 2nd FOB on my key ring so it was defaulting to the 2nd settings which have been left at default.

I added a little Corvette key ring thing, that I've had for several years, to my fob so I would not get it confused with my wife's fob. It is a sewn Corvette insignia I got back when I belonged to the National Corvette Owners Association.
While you are thinking about fob issues you may want to put an extra fob battery in your glove box as you can be grossly inconvenienced if you are travelling in some remote area when your fob battery dies. Yes, I know you can insert dead fob into holder in glove box but that is after using your emergency key to open the trunk and then pulling the cord to open drivers door. That only works if you did not leave your emergency key in your console where many people keep it. Your car will not recognize a dead fob and without that emergency key you will have a major problem. I took my emergency key to my shop and cut the rubber head off and then ground down the metal head until it was small enough to fit in the little built-in key holder in my wallet. That way I always have my key as I don't go anywhere without my wallet.
